Hey there! This is Stock Nerd speaking. I’d like to share a little bit about myself and why i’ve actually created this blog.

Student Life
I’m currently a 19 year old student at the University of Texas at Austin for the remainder of my college career. As of Fall 2008, I am a sophomore in college. My focus is currently finance and i’m definitely a stock addict. On my spare time, I like to work on my net projects, hang out with friends, work out, and run long distances during the winters.

The Stock Market?
Often times, I have people ask me why i’m investing in a market where loss can be common. In my opinion, that isn’t true at all. Yes, anyone will lose a few times in the stock market, but unless you’re investing blind, you won’t be losing much. In fact, ever since i’ve started investing 6 months ago (and I studied the market around 8 months on a near daily basis before I ever started investing), i’ve yet to lose a penny. My personal goal with this blog is to help others succeed in the stock market. I will be posting my analysis on the market on a near daily basis, which will help you further understand how the market works. If you are just now getting into the stock market, make sure you check out Jim Cramer’s book, “Sane Investing in an Insane World,” to become better acquainted. I hope you will follow along with the blog to have the best understanding of the market.

My Business Aspect
I am the owner of MacroBucks.com at the moment. I begin this website in my senior year of high school (February 2007). MacroBucks.com is an incentives website with over 18,000 users at the moment and allows users to earn free gifts/paypal cash for referring their friends. To earn the gifts, all users must sign up with a few of the advertisers to earn 1 full credit (We have 130 advertisers up at the moment) and refer the required amount of people to earn their prize. We’ve actually sent/shipped over $350,000 worth of free gifts since February 2007. So how does it work? I have a few other net projects going on, but that is currently my main focus along with this blog.
